David Ganulin is the Founder and CEO of KettleBell Concepts. KBC has trained over 5,000 trainers globally and has worked with Equinox, Crunch, TSI, Life time, Crunch, One Life Fitness, NYHRC, Spectrum, and many others. He first encountered kettlebells while studying martial arts during his years living and working as a college professor in Japan from 1994-2000. He has a Master’s in Teaching, Curriculum, and Development from the University of Rochester and speaks Japanese. Furthermore, Dave is a certified Pilates instructor, holds the USAW Club Coach credential and has held numerous personal training certifications over the years. He has appeared on the Early Show, Fox News, Morning News, Inside Fitness with Bonnie Kaye, and the ABC News and is responsible for all the marketing and PR behind KettleBell Concepts since its incorporation in 2002 . George Bartzokis received an M.D. degree from Yale University in 1983. He completed an internship at the UCLA/West Los Angeles V.A. Medical Center, and a residency in psychiatry at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. In 1987, Dr. Bartzokis joined the UCLA Department of Psychiatry as an Assistant Clinical Professor while also completing a schizophrenia research fellowship in the UCLA Department of Psychology, and serving as a Staff Psychiatrist at the West Los Angeles V.A. Medical Center. In 1989, he was the recipient of a Career Development Award from the Department of Veterans Affairs Research Service at the West Los Angeles V.A. Medical Center, and for two years served as an Associate Investigator. In 1998, Dr. Bartzokis moved to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock as an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Director of the Office of Psychopharmaceutical Trials. During this time, he was also the Associate Chief of Staff for mental health at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. Dr. Bartzokis returned to UCLA in 2001, joining the Department of Neurology where he is currently Director of the UCLA Memory Disorders and Alzheimer’s Disease Clinic, Director of the Clinical Core at the UCLA Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, Professor of Neurology, and faculty in the Laboratory of Neuroimaging, Division of Brain Mapping. Dr. Bartzokis also hold a concurrent appointment as professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles.

Adam Davis is the Director of Athletic Performance at The University of Tulsa. Davis works directly with the Golden Hurricane football program and oversees all aspects of Tulsa's athletic performance program. Before coming to Tulsa, Davis spent five years as a member of the Baylor University Athletic Performance staff. During the his final four years at Baylor, Davis served as the Bears' associate director of athletic performance and before that was assistant strength & conditioning coach for one year. As associate director, Davis assisted with the football team, directed the training of volleyball, served as the Director of the Iron Bear Club, and oversaw Football's Sports Nutrition Department.

Todd Wright is the strength and conditioning coach for the men's basketball program at The University of Texas. Wright is widely recognized as one of the elite coaches nationally in his field. The Longhorns have made a school-record 13 consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament while posting a 322-123 (.724) record under Todd's watch. The 322 wins mark the most number of victories in a 13-year period in school history. UT also set a school record by recording its 12th straight 20-win season in 2010-11. Chris Ruf serves as the Director of Football - Athletic Performance for Baylor University. He additionally oversees the track and field/cross country programs, as well as organizing the Baylor Athletic Performance Clinic. Prior to Baylor, Ruf served as Assistant Strength Coach at South Florida (USF). While at USF, Ruf also worked at Rich Lansky's OPTI as a strength coach and assisted with Team Florida Gulf Coast Weightlifting. Prior to USF, Ruf spent eight seasons at Iowa State University as an Assistant Strength Coach with their football program. During that time, ISU went to five bowl games and won the first two bowl games in school history.

Vincent Metzo is the Dean of Advanced Personal Training at the Swedish Institute and the Director of Education for Kettlebell Concepts in New York City. Vincent’s dance, theatre, and acrobatics background lead him to choose exercise science and education as a career. His passion for kettlebells and training grew out of his early training as a dancer and acrobat. During his time as an undergraduate at NYU Tisch School of the Arts studying acting Vincent’s interest in movement and acrobatics grew. This led him to study acrobatics and tumbling and to work with a strength coach to improve his tumbling and acrobatics. The results of a well-designed program led Vincent to decide to return to NYU to pursue a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology and Fitness Management. After a few years working in corporate fitness and receiving his Diploma and License as a Massage Therapist, he began teaching at the Swedish Institute where he developed and runs the Advanced Personal Training Program, the first personal training degree program in Manhattan.

Joshua Medcalf is a former Division I soccer player who graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in communications. He went on to study under one of the top sport psychologists in the country at Duke University, while playing out his last year of eligibility. He started a non-profit organization that focuses on training at-risk athletes in the heart of the south central housing projects in Los Angeles, California. In order to help fund his organization he created Train to be Clutch, in which he teaches the same life changing principles to athletes, businessmen, actors, and universities all over the world.

Chuck Wolf has a Masters of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from George Williams College, and specializes in Applied Biomechanics. He presently is the Director of Human Motion Associates, in Orlando, Florida, consulting with clients ranging from the rehabilitation setting to professional athletes of the highest level. Chuck works extensively with many of the top 50 PGA players in the world and also has worked with numerous professional baseball players and other high level athletes. He has emerged as a leader of functional anatomy and biomechanics within the fitness and sports performance industries and works extensively with internal medicine physicians, orthopedic specialists, neurosurgeons, and physical therapists addressing musculoskeletal issues and developing corrective exercise programs. Sean Skahan is the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Anaheim Ducks. Joining the club prior to the 2002-03 season, Skahan is responsible for the overall strength and conditioning program for all players in the Ducks system. Skahan also coordinates all off-ice training at the club's annual prospect conditioning camp. Prior to working with the Ducks, Skahan was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Boston College for the 2001-02 season. In 2000-01, he was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of North Dakota. While earning his Master's degree in Kinesiology, the Massachusetts native worked as a Graduate Assistant Strength Coach at the University of Minnesota from 1999-00. He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 1998. He also holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (N.S.C.A.) and USA Weightlifting. Sean is also certified as a Russian Kettlebell Instructor (RKC).

As an elite nutrition coach and exercise physiologist, Dr. Berardi has coached hundreds of elite amateur and professional athletes. In fact, in the last three Olympics, his athletes collected over 30 medals, 14 of them gold. In addition, he’s a high performance nutrition consultant for Nike. Further, for the last 5 years, Dr. Berardi has acted as the director of the world's largest body transformation project, coaching over 10,000 clients. This one-of-a- kind fat loss coaching program has produced more total weight loss than all seasons of The Biggest Loser combined. Dr. Berardi received his PhD in Exercise Physiology and Nutrient Biochemistry at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Ben Yauss is the Strength and Conditioning coach for the LA Galaxy and Athletes Performance. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Yauss joined the Galaxy prior to the start of the 2009 season after working for the previous two and a half years exclusively for Athletes’ Performance at The Home Depot Center. While working for Athletes' Performance, Ben spent time working with NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL Combine, and NBA Pre Draft athletes, as well as both the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National soccer teams, Chivas USA, and Everton FC as a Performance Specialist and Consultant.

Kurt Hester serves as D1’s director of training. In addition, he is an active strength and speed consultant for Florida State, Tennessee, Illinois, Ole Miss, Alabama, Nicholls State, Grambling State and Miami. Prior to D1, Hester ran and owned HS2 Athletic Performance in New Orleans, where he turned out more than 400 collegiate scholarship athletes and trained more than 50 NFL Draft picks. He also trained numerous MLB Draft picks, high school All-Americans, state championship teams and collegiate national track & field finalists. A graduate of Tulane University, Hester was inducted into the Strength Coach Hall of Fame, and he holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, United States Weightlifting and the Speed, Agility and Conditioning Association.

Over the many years that Louie has been involved in powerlifting, he has gained a vast amount of knowledge on how to produce strength. Through experience, his areas of expertise are the percent training method, the conjugate training method, the dynamic training method, the maximum effort method, lifting technique, raising work capacity, rehabilitation and restoration, and the reactive and contrast methods. It is this knowledge and expertise that has led to the production of establishing 100 open world records .He currently trains 33 men who have benched 700 pounds, eight over 800, and two over 900. Plus seventeen over 1000 and six over 1100 in the squat; also eighteen over 800 pounds in the deadlift , thirteen over 2500 pounds total, seven over 2600 pound total, and the only gym to have two over 2700 pound totals, plus two over 2800 pounds total. Louie is one of only six lifters to total Elite in five weight classes. He is the only lifter over 50 years of age to squat 920 and total 2100. Ranked 4th nationally in 2000 in the open division, Louie has squatted 920, benched 600 (at age 50), and deadlifted 722.

Doug Balzarini has been in the fitness industry for the past 14 years. He is originally from Massachusetts where he earned his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology and had his first personal training job. He moved to San Diego in 2000 and worked for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) for 5 years before starting his career at Fitness Quest 10 as a personal trainer and strength coach. He was there from 2005 to 2011 and worked with clients of all ages and abilities.

Matthew Krause enters his tenth season in the Reds organization. He spent his first two seasons as the organization’s minor league strength and conditioning coordinator. Prior to joining the Reds, Krause spent three years in the Pittsburgh system, where he served as the strength coach at Class A Hickory (2000) and then as minor league strength and conditioning coordinator (2001-02). From 1997-00, Krause was the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Central Florida. He also worked as an intern with the Chicago Cubs’ Class A affiliate at Daytona in 1999. Krause earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science from East Carolina University in 1997 and his master’s degree in physical education and wellness from Central Florida in 1999. He is a Registered Strength & Conditioning coach from the NSCA and a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer. He also holds a certification from the USWF Club Coach level. Matt is a member of the NSCA Performance Committee and a speaker for the NSCA Coaches Conferences.

Gayle Hatch's contributions to Olympic-style weightlifting and strength training are quite considerable. He has been active as a weightlifting and strength & conditioning coach for more than thirty-five years. Among Hatch's many accomplishments are memberships in both the USA Weightlifting and USA Strength and Conditioning Coaches Halls of Fame and he served as Head Coach of the men's 2004 USA Olympic Weightlifting Team that competed in Athens, Greece, the home of the modern Olympics. Only one other Louisianian has ever been an Olympic Head Coach - Skip Bertman, 1996 US Olympic Head Coach for baseball.

Chad Englehart is an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Washington Redskins. Prior to coming to Washington, Englehart served as the head strength and conditioning coach with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League in 2009. He was a member of Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett’s staff, who at the time was the Tuskers’ head coach. The Tuskers finished with a perfect 6-0 regular season record before losing in the UFL’s inaugural championship game. In 2008, Englehart served as director of strength and conditioning at X-Cel Sports Performance in Louisiana. Before that, he was head strength and conditioning coach at HS2 Athletic Performance in Mandeville, La. (2007) and at the University of New Orleans (2006).

Matt Herring comes to San Antonio after spending the past seven years as the strength and conditioning coordinator for the University of Florida men’s basketball and men’s and women’s golf and tennis programs. Herring was an integral part of the Gators back-to-back national championships in 2006 and 2007. Prior to his stint in Gainesville, he helped the Oklahoma State Cowboys men’s basketball program reach the 2004 Final Four. Herring arrived at Oklahoma State University after spending two years as an intern at the University of Texas.

Mike Potenza is the Sharks strength and conditioning coordinator. He’s responsible for the team’s overall strength and conditioning programs -- including the physical testing and evaluation at training camp, creation of individualized postseason workout programs and assistance in the rehabilitation efforts for all injured players. Before coming to San Jose, Potenza served as the strength and conditioning coach for the University of Wisconsin men’s and women’s hockey teams, both of which were NCAA National Champions. There, he worked with current Sharks Joe Pavelski and Adam Burish. Potenza also had responsibilities with the wrestling and softball programs at Wisconsin. A Springfield College graduate, Potenza earned his Bachelor of Science degree in applied exercise science. From there, the Providence, R.I., native went to Boston University where he was a graduate assistant, earning his master's degree in human movement science.

Coach Landow is highly sought after for his ability to analyze and correct biomechanics. His goal is to maximize human performance, while decreasing the likelihood of injury. He has trained thousands of athletes of all ages and abilities, including over 500 professional athletes in the NFL, NHL, MLB, UFC, WNBA and Olympic medalists. Coach Landow served as the Strength and Speed coach during the NFL lockout. These training sessions included over 30 players from the Denver Broncos, as well as, 45 players from other NFL teams. Coach Landow has worked with over 30 NFL All-Pro’s and over 20 first round draft selections in the NFL. He has presented on the National and International level in the performance field, and serves as a consultant for professional and collegiate teams across the country. Coach Landow has developed the ACL prevention program and ACL return to sport protocols for the world renowned Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver, Colorado. Dan Dalrymple has been a key member of the Saints organization since arriving in 2006. His responsibilities and influence both in the weight room and on the field remain constant throughout the entire year. Ten players have been selected to the Pro Bowl during his tenure, seven for the first time in their careers. In 2010, following the 2009 Super Bowl XLIV Championship season, he was named as the recipient of the Cybex Professional Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year by the Professional Football Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society and the Samson Strength and Conditioning NFL Coach of the Year award from American Football Monthly.

As a previous football coach at Northern Illinois University with a major in Movement and Sports Science from Purdue University, and a Masters Degree in Sports Administration from Easter Illinois University, Sid McNairy’s path to healing and inspiring others was destined. One of his players, Justin McCareins, former player of the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans, had injured both of his hamstrings. Under Sid’s guidance, Justin began doing Yoga to heal. Inspired by the impact Yoga had on his player, Sid began to incorporate Yoga as an integral part of his team’s training which led to the team’s first winning season in 23 years. Sid first began doing Yoga to find a way to heal both physically and emotionally. As Sid developed his own Yoga practice, he realized many health benefits such as the disappearance of his asthma which had plagued him for 30 years, as well as a full range of motion in his right ankle that was fused.

Tom Moffitt enters his 13th season at Louisiana State University. From 2000-10, Moffitt help strength train and condition an LSU football team that won 110 games. It was Moffitt's offseason program that helped pave the way to national titles in 2003 and 2007 for the Tigers. Moffitt was named the 2003 College Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year by America Football Monthly. Moffitt has been part of national championship football teams at LSU (twice), Miami and Tennessee. In February 2000, Moffitt was named the 1999 Collegiate Football Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year by the Professional Football Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society.

Dr. David Laman is CEO and co-founder of Achieve-Tec Sports and Health. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed an internship at the Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Laman has more than 20 years of experience as a clinical psychologist and administrator in health psychology in university, hospital and private settings. For the past 10 years, Dr. Laman has provided sports psychology services for athletes, developing athletes, and teams. He enjoys coaching youth sports including football, basketball and baseball.

Nick Winkelman is the Director of Training Systems and Education for Athletes' Performance located in Phoenix, Arizona. Nick oversees the Performance Education department which delivers a 4-Phase Mentorship program to over 500 participants a year across 6 continents. Nick has a parallel role as Director of Training Systems (Methodology) where he is responsible for the sustained growth and development of the Athletes' Performance Training System across all facilities and remote coaching locations. This role would include program development, product analysis and integration, and off-site performance consulting.
